Introduction

Medical treatise. Fragment (7.2 x 5.7 cm) of a papyrus roll preserving on the recto scanty remains of 9 lines of a single column (verso is blank). In l. 7 is a gap between […]υτοις and τοὺς δὲ νυκτὶ which is doubtless a mark of punctuation. The brevity and the lacunosity of this fragment make the positive determination of its meaning difficult, but it seems to be part of a medical treatise. The hand is early Ptolemaic and assignable to the 3rd cent. BC.
