Introduction
Medical recipes. The fragment (21 x 7,5 cm) is written on the recto of a papyrus sheet containing three medical prescriptions severely damaged on the right side. Paragraphoi occur at ll. 9 and 22. Verso is blank. In the first two remedies only ingredients survive, whereas quantities have been lost. The last recipe is more complete and seems to prescribe the use of salt against unhealthy states of the humours and phlegm stagnating in the brain. The handwriting dates back to the 5th cent. AD.
