Introduction
Medical prescriptions for eye-salves. The ostrakon preserves the remains of two recipes; five short lines of an incense-based kollyrion survive on the recto, while the verso holds a more readable text belonging to a rose-coloured (?) kollyrion against children's affections. The ingredients mentioned in both recipes fit well with the composition of remedies against skin and eye diseases. The hand (the same as O.Bodl. 2.2185-2186) is a large uncial difficult to date with any precision. The pottery is certainly assignable to the Byzantine Era.
