Introduction
Medical prescriptions. The fragment (7,4 x 8,4 cm) preserves the upper part of a column containing portions of 7 lines written along the fibres (verso is blank). An upper margin of around 4,7 cm survives, as well as narrower part of the intercolumnar space (ca. 1 cm). The text prescribes bowel purgation and other therapeutic treatments related to cooling and fluidifying, possibly in connection with a state of fever or constipation. The hand is a fluently formed severe style assignable to the late 2nd - early 3rd cent. AD.

Notes
- 1.
Before χρῆσθαι, possible readings are ὑγραῖς, [ὑγρο]τ̣έ̣ρ̣α̣ι̣ς̣ (see Orib. Coll.med., Inc. 34.5 [CMG 6.2.2, 128.22-3 Raed.]) or [ἐμπλά]σ̣τ̣ρ̣ο̣ι̣ς̣ (see Orib. Syn. 7.50.6 [CMG 6.3, 241.18 Raed.]). Ano stigme marks a pause after χρῆσθαι.
- 1-2.
μ̣ε̣τ̣ὰ̣ δ̣ὲ̣ ταῦτα introduces a new set of prescriptions (cf. e.g. Gal. Meth.med. 5.6 [10, 341.17-8 K])
- 2-3.
For τὴν κο̣ι̣λίαν ὑπάγειν see e.g. Gal. In Hipp.Acut.comment. 4.12 (15, 751.10-11 K). A second ano stigme occurs after ὑπάγειν.
- 4.
τούτων ἀ̣π̣[ό]ν̣τω̣ν̣ probably refers to remedies already mentioned in the previous lines, as also happens with α̣[ὐ]τ̣ο̣ῖ̣ς̣ τ̣ο̣ι̣ο̣ύ[τοις οὖ]σ̣ι̣ (or τ̣ο̣ι̣ο̣ύ[τοις πᾶ]σ̣ι̣; or τ̣ο̣ι̣ο̣ύ[τοις κ]α̣ὶ̣) at ll. 5-6.
- 5.
For the supplement χρῆσθαι α̣[ὐ]τ̣ο̣ῖ̣ς̣ τ̣ο̣ι̣ο̣ύ[τοις] (et sim.) see e.g. Aet. 8.42 [CMG 8.2, 457.16-7 Oliv.].
- 7.
The rest of the sentence may continue with δυναμένοις (i.e. βοηθήμασιν) which can be coordinated with other datives dependent on χρῆσθαι; see Alex.Trall. 1, 599.26; 2, 365.19-20; 2, 477.15-6 Puschm.
