Introduction

Treatise. Fragment (4 x 4.5 cm) from a papyrus codex written on both sides by the same scribe. 9 and 10 lines are preserved respectively on the front and back, and no margin survives. The text contains a few technical terms (περίπτωσις, μιμητικῶς and perhaps ἐγκύρησις) which bear a specific meaning for the Empiricists; whether the treatise belonged to the Empiric school or contained a polemical text against the Empiric doctrine is uncertain. The small, careful script was assigned by I. Andorlini to the 3rd c. AD.
