Introduction
Medical or botanical text. Two fragments (frag. a: 1,9 x 3,9; frag. b: 1,3 x 2,7 cm) broken on all sides and written on the recto along the fibres (verso is blank). It is not possible to establish with certainty the position of the scraps within the roll. Their brevity and lacunosity make the positive determination of the meaning difficult, but some plausible supplements ([κώ]νειον, [κ]αρποτοκ̣[, πάθ[ους], βα[λάνου], ἐμεῖ[ν]) suggest the fragments should be part of a medical or a botanical work. The text is written in a bookhand assignable to the 2nd or early 3rd cent. AD.
