Introduction
Medical text. The papyrus scrap measures 4.2 x 6 cm and belongs to a roll written on the recto along the fibers (back blank). The fragment is damaged along the upper, lower and right sides, and contains the remains of 7 lines. The medical text is concerned with the bone marrow and, though not literally overlapping with Galen, it might be partly restored according to Gal., De motu musculorum IV 369f. K. and De temperaments II 3 (57, 20 Helmreich). The manuscript can be assigned to the late 1st-early 2nd cent. AD on paleographical grounds.
(This papyrus has been digitally edited by Francesca Corazza as part of the Project "DIGMEDTEXT - Online Humanities Scholarship: A Digital Medical Library based on Ancient Texts" (ERC-AdG-2013, Grant Agreement no. 339828) funded by the European Research Council at the University of Parma (Principal Investigator: Prof. Isabella Andorlini). The digital edition is mostly based on the previous editions (ed.pr. = M. Gronewald, P.Köln VII 291))
